The Argentine military, who have been
urging a break for some time, have
found new ammunition in recently
published documents concerning Cuban
subversive activities in Argentina.
Frondizi, although embarrassed, wants
to keep his Cuban ties and is sus-
picious of the documents' authenticity.
Sources of our Embassy say that he is
trying to deflect the pressures by
putting out the word that the US
would like to have a continued
Argentine presence in Havana.

There is information from Paris that
the two sides have resumed their
meetings in secret to discuss forma-
tion of a provisional Algerian 50X1
government and the creation ,of a
Moslem armed force. The appointment
on Wednesday of Moslem general
Rafa as commander of French infantry
in Algeria looks like a product of
these meetings.
