Congo g. The inhabitants of one Turkish village who fled last March have returned to their homes. This is the first such case of any signif- icance since the shooting started last December. a. Argentina 5. Israel-Syria a. The Peronist-dominated central committee of the General Confederation of Workers has voted to continue the agitation campaign it began some months ago. b. This decision was opposed by most of the independent affili- ates of the CGT, almost all of which did not attend the meeting. c. An open split in the CGT seems to be in the making. e. The government has started its own propaganda campaign to rebut the widespread criticism of its inaction on various needed re- forms and its failure to do anything about the rising cost of living. a.
