Dear Mr. DeBruin:
This refers to your letter of August 22, 1964 inquiring as to whether your
`son's personal effects could be released to you. We have inquired of our
For East offices and enclosed is an inventory of your son's personal effects
which are now in the custody of the U.S. Consul in Vientiane.
We would expect no difficulty in getting a release of these personal effects
for shipment to you, however in view of their nominal value and the fact that
they would be immediately useful to your son when he is released, we would
suggest that they remain in,Vientiane for the time being.
