This is a final response to your 17 December 2005 Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA) request for "a copy of the report, memorandum, or letter sent by [CIA] to the
Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO) describing the status of preparation
for the December 31, 2006 deadline." We processed your request in accordance with the
FOIA, 5 U.S.C. ? 552, as amended, and the CIA Information Act, 50 U.S.C. ? 431, as
amended. Our processing included a search for records as described in our 10 January
2006 acceptance letter existing through the date of that letter.
We completed a thorough search for records responsive to your request, located
material, and made the following determination:
We determined that one document (Doc ID 1492381) can be released in segregable
form with deletions made on the basis of FOIA exemptions (b)(1), (b)(3), and (b)(6). An
explanation of exemptions is enclosed.
You have the right to appeal this determination addressing your appeal to the
Agency Release Panel within 45 days from the date of this letter, in my care. Should you
