(U//FOUO) At the request of Senators Schumer and Clinton, TTIC, FBI and DHS (Liboutti), provided a current threat
update briefing focused on New York.

the New York piece could be placed in proper perspective. She covered the fact that al Qa'ida continues to desire an
attack on the U.S. and will do so when they feel they have the greatest chance of success.
(S) Senator Clinton requested a review of the material that specifically talks to threat

(U//FOUO) Senator Clinton opined to DHS that it would be helpful if the Department could provide a weekly threat
update to the American population rather than as has been the case with periodic, sensationalized events. She believes
this will keep the message more consistent and in the back of peoples minds.
