Employment consisted of the following:
Responsible for conducting personnel security investigations relative
to the Agency's security clearance program. In the conduct of such, the
Officer is responsible for interviewing and preparing reports on the findings.
Performance of general security functions including planning, directing,
and coordinating the physical security of Agency facilities assuring their
effective protection against unauthorized penetration. Specific duties include
special investigations and surveys; monitoring, inspecting and coordinating
security support; planning and. implementing safety, fire prevention and
protection programs. Provides technical guidance and assistance on security
matters, policies and procedures including counsel and guidance to personnel.
Managed and supervised on a regional office level, an industrial
security program covering many contractors and a large geographical area.
Trained and supervised staff of security officers who performed surveys,
inspections, and briefings on special clearance matters.
Reviewed and coordinated activities of approximatelyu security
officers assigned within the Agency Directorate responsible for Science
and Technology. Has liaison with other Agency directorates, the AEC,
the Office of Industrial Security and the Defense Contract Administration
Services and numerous other Government agencies. Acts as security
advisor to a Deputy Director of CIA.
