HEADQUARTERS US ARMY ARMOR SCHOOL
OFFICE OF THE COMMANDANT
Fort Knox, Kentucky
Dear Mr. Dulles:
The US Army Armor School each year conducts a guest speaker pro-
gram designed to enhance the regular programs of instruction and pro-
vide a means of broadening the officer's background in matters allied
to the Army and in national and international affairs. Recognized
leaders in various fields are sought for participation in the program.
In furtherance of these objectives, I wish to invite you, or a
representative whom you may designate, to address the Armor Officer
Advanced Class and other members of the US Army Armor School and
Center, on the subject, "The Nature and Significance of Strategic
Intelligence".
A tentative schedule for the guest speaker program has been pre-
pared and our preferred date for this presentation is 8 January 1959.
These presentations are normally scheduled for two 50-minute periods
from 0940 to 1130 hours. The first hour is devoted to the presenta-
tion and the second hour reserved for questions from the audience.
The period could be conducted on a classified, not to exceed SECRET,
or unclassified basis according to your desires or as your material
permits.
Sufficient funds will be made available to you, or your repre-
sentative, upon arrival to defray expenses incidental to the required
travel.
It is my hope that you can find time in a very busy schedule to
accept this invitation as such a talk would arouse the interest and
enthusiasm of the officers in Strategic Intelligence and would certainly
add materially to their military education.
PAUL A. DISNEY
Major General, U
Commandant
Mr. Allen W. Dulles, Director
Central Intelligence Agency
