STAT
STAT
STAT
advise that eon Herman, Legislative Reference Service of the Library
of Congress, has indicated a strong interest in including in the Joint
Economic Committee's upcoming study on Communist China the Agency's
unclassified intelligence report entitled "Communist China's Balance
of Payments, 1950-1965. " I talked with Mr. Herman later in the day about
this. He was very complimentary regarding the report and said he would
like very much to use it with attribution to the Agency but would, of course,
respect our wishes in the matter. I told Mr. Herman I would look into
this and be in touch with him further.
3. I I Met with Mrs. Coralee Bull, Assistant
to Representative L. Mendel Rivers, who advised that the Chairman was
absent from the office due to a cold; and, in consequence, she advised
checking with her again on Thursday morning for scheduling an appoint-
ment for Admiral Taylor.
STAT 4.1 1 Met with Miss Shelley Pyle,
Secretary to Mr. Earl Morgan, House Armed Services Committee, who
