IN THE BELORUSSIAN MILITARY DISTRICT, USSR (S)
I. S/D) Major elements of' the 46th Guards Tank Division' in the Belorussian Military
District, USSR, were out of garrison
i,ed rifle regiment (MRR) from this division were being loaded onto railcars at Lesnava Railroad
Yard The remainder of the MRR and a second tank regiment were
bivouacked approximately 6 nautical miles south of Slonim. The motor transport battalion (MTBN)
from Baranovichi was also bivouacked in this area. Approximately 70 civilian trucks had augmented the
MTBN. These divisional elements are housed at Slonim Tank Division Headquarters/Barracks South-
Southeast A1.-2
2. (S/D) The divisional elements subsequently returned to garrison.
the two tank regiments and the MRR were observed in their vehicle parks. The presence of
tents and high vehicle activity indicated the recent training activity.
