Dear General Cabell:
The Joint Chiefs of Staff have asked me to advise you
that they have allotted you two spaces this year for career civilian
members of your Agency to attend the 1955-56 course to be con-
ducted at The National War College.
The course is ten months in length, and commences in
late August 1955.
Your letter of 1 April 1955 named five candidates as
students for next year's class, with the request that they be con-
sidered for admittance in the order listed; therefore, STAT
i11 be the representatives of your
Agency in next year's class.
It is a real pleasure for me to extend this .invitation to
you to continue to furnish students to join in the activities of this
College.
