This report summarizes the current work of the Imagery Analysis Service. The time of nine im gery analysts on not included in this summary. Our workload is described in the attached four tables. Table I 2 . compares the time expended by all personnel in August with similar data for the preceding five months. It also compares the workload on hand for the next three months, on imagery analysis and reporting only, with similar data for the preceding five months. Table 2-4 show time expended and work- load on hand for imagery analysis and reporting only according to geographic area, subject, and requester respectively. 3. New imagery received by IAS during August included one KH-4.(Parts I & 2), Part I), and one GS mission. The analysis of one KH mission continue into September. The Service expended approximately 3400 manhours in August on preliminary assessment and assimilation of these materials. This activity is included in the tables. 4. The Middle East crisis required a considerable increase in time. As reflected in the accompanying tables, 2400 manhours were expended on this effort, of which 600 were overtime.
