SS T. 31 October 1980 MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy Director of Central Intelligence FROM: Charles A. Briggs Inspector General SUBJECT: Compensation For Those Serving Overseas 1. During our current inspection of the Office of Medical Services, we spent a good bit of time on the sub- ject of stress. We interviewed station personnel and their spouses overseas, and discussed the subject with OMS staff and consultant personnel abroad and here. 2. Attached are two copies of a draft section of the inspection report on OMS. Since OPPPM and the DDO, with OMS input, have been charged to look beyond financial compensation for overseas personnel, I thought it might be useful to send copies of this draft to Harry and John. It has not, at this stage, been coordinated, but if you think it useful, you could have Vince pass._.the attached copies on to them. 3. I am aware that OMS psychiatrists are doing or have done a paper on stress as a part of this current look at compensation options, but I thought this might give some additional scope. Charles A.
