1. Senate staffers Douglas Olin, Minority Staff of the
Budget Committee, and Richard Collins, Minority Staff of the
Subcommittee on Foreign Operations of the Appropriations
Committee, are travelling to Latin America between
4-17 November. Four-fold purpose is to: assess
international debt and its destabilizing impact, internal
economic conditions and local insurgent movements, narcotics
production and trafficking, and US economic and security
assistance. Staffers are travelling to Dominican Re ublic,
Panama, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, and Argentina. 25X1
