SUBJECT: Change in Appropriations for Supplemental Agreements Nos.
4 and 5 to Contract SC-21-54.
1. Contract No. SC-21-54 with Perkin-Elmer Corp. and Amendments
1-5 thereto provide for production of certain photographic equipment
for Project AQUATOIsE in the amount of $6,415,545.
2. Included in the contract are six (6) "C" Camera equipments
and related items. It has been determined by the Project Director
that two (2) of these complete equipments are no longer essential to
Project AQUATONE and may be transferred to the FOG program.
it is requested that concurrence be indi ,ted below:
3. The "C" Camera equipments to be transferred to the FOG from
Contract No. SC-21-54 amount, to approximately $400,000 which sum
should be credited to Project AQUATONE funds and charged to Air Force
funds transferred to the Agency for FOG requirements. Pending deter-
mination of the exact amount to be charged to Air Force funds, it is
requested that all Fiscal Year 1957 AQUATONE funds obligated under
Contract SC-21-54 totaling $338,119 and consisting of $68,497 obligated
under Supplemental Agreement-No. 4 and $269,622 obligated under Supple-
mental Agreement No. 5 be credited to Project AQUATONE and this same
amount be obligated under Contract SC-21-54 from Department of Air Force
funds. It is proposed that the difference between $338,119 to be credited
AQUATONE funds hereunder and the total credit of approximately $400,,000
will be recouped under future procurements involving both AQUATONE and
AF funds during the current fiscal year.
