2 November, WJLA-TV, ABC WORLD NEWS TONIGHT, Subject: Intelligence
sources say terrorist attack in Mideast cou d come at any time.

2 November, WJLA-TV, ABC WORLD NEWS TONIGHT,. Subject: DCI writes
letter to Congress defending .use of manua written for Nicaraguan
rebels. Peter Jennings reporting.
7 November, WETA-TV, PBS MACNEIL/LEHRER NEWSHOUR, Subject:
President Reagan statement on the manual written for the contras.
7 November, WJLA-TV, ABC WORLD NEWS TONIGHT, Subject: John McWethy
reports Congressional notification by that the Soviet merchant
ship was tracked via satellites from the Black Sea to Nicaragua.
Also, revelations resulting from SR-71 flight over Nicaragua last
week.

McWethy discuss the route of the Soviet merchant ship (avoiding

reports that high level discussions betw U.S. and Soviet Union
are underway over the possible arrival of MiG's in Nicaragua and
that the cargo may include anti-aircraft missiles. Also in Miami
Edgar Chamorro, former contra leader, tells Peter Collins his
understanding of the CIA supported contra mission.
8 November, WDVM-TV, CBS EVENING NEWS, Subject: David Martin
comments on the Soviet backed military buildup in Nicaragua.
8 November, WETA-TV, PBS MACNEIL/LEHRER NEWSHOUR, Subject:
Congressmen Shannon ( ass. Hyde and Alvin Rubinstein,

discuss the current escalation of tension over the possibility of
MiG's in Nicaragua.
