This is to commend the above for their prompt and effective work on
a special project connected with the hijacking of the Italian cruise
liner, "Achille Lauro." On the evening of 7 October, at about 10 p.m.,
the Wire Service was asked by the Agency Ops Center to locate three
classified Staff language officers to work on documents forwarded from
the White House,
respon ed promptly to this need,
reporting almost immediately to the Ops Center where they worked on the
s most of the night. Kudos also go to
for their prompt organization of the response and their contacts
with FBIS officials. This the Ops Center's needs, and
in particular the work of was in the best tradition
