See page 4 which) (pinpointed the following: 1. Volko Chervenkov Medical Academy, a complex of 15 to 20 multf25X1 story brick-stuccoed buildings with baked tile roofs. The enrollment of this academy was 1,000 student?doctors. 2. Bacteriological Institute which consisted of many three and four-story, white-stone buildings with tile roofs. This in- stitute was located on Pencho Siaveykov Street. -The buildings had been constructed from three to five years ago. 3. Bulgarian RedoCrots hospital with approximately 10 one to four- storied brick-stuccoed buildings located on Boulevard Totleben. St. Georgiy Church,a, old building; of typical orthodox archi- tecture, located in . park. 5. The Maychin Dom (Mothers Home) fospital within a park. The hospital build :pg, )wa.s::approximately 100 x. 15 x, 8:.m, two-rst?ried, and built of stucco. The hospital and park were located on Boulevard Khristobotev. 6. St. Nedelya Orthodox Church. 7. The National Bank, a three-story., white stone building which was built 15 years ago. 8. A fire station, a complex of three or four stuccoed, one and two-storied buildings which housed 10 or moremod-ern fire trucks. This was the central fire station in Sofia and was located on Rakovskiy Street, other fire stations were located on the outskirts of Sofia but believed that there were only three or four of these stations for the city. 10. The new opera building was located on Rakovskiy Street. This building was schedu:ed to be completed before the beginning of 1955. Its dimensions were approximately 160 x 40 x 20 m and it was built of white stone. 11.. The Physico-Mathematical, Faculty of the State Universi aint Kliment of Ohrid The faculty consisted or a complex of two or three, stuccoed, three- story, old buildings with tile roofs. 12. The Institute for Specialization in Medical Science was a four- story, old building which was constructed of white stone. 13. The Light Opera House, located on Stalingrad Street, had been reconstructed after having been damaged in World War II. 14. The. Pharmaceutical-Bacteriological Institute, 60 x 70 x 15 constructed of white stone The institute produced various medicaments and experimented with animals. It was located on Boulevard General Zaimov. 15.. The Levskiy Memorial. 16. The Vasil Kolarov State Library,..now under construction, was ap- proximately 60 x 80 x 15 m and constructed of white stone; it was located on Boulevard Tolbukhin. 17. The State University Saint Kliment of Ohrid, an L-shaped struc- ture, 250 x 30 x 20 m, located on Boulevard Russkiy. Prof. Georgiy Nadzhakov was dean of this university. 18. The Park of Freedom, formerly known as the Boris Gardens. 19. The Agronomical Faculty of the State University Saint Kliment of Ohrid. This building was approximately 100 x 30 x 15 m and was a three or four-story red brick structure. 20. Radio Sofia, a white stone, three or four-story building, 20 x 40 x 15 m. 21. The Stalin State Polytechnic University consisted of two stuccoed four-story buildings. 22. Memorial to the Soviet Army. 23. Memorial to King Aleksander I. 4. The Academy .of Science a building approximately m; 40 x 10 x 10 rig, this building was a'two-story stuccoed structure located'on Boule- vard Russkiy. The Biological University, 30 x 40 x 10 m, a stuccoed two or three-storied building. The dean was formerly Prof. Metody Popov who died in summer.1954. Popov was the brother of Kiril Popov, a faculty member at the Physico-Mathematical Faculty, of the: State, U' iVersity of Saint Kliment of Obrid.
