Subjects Albania - Soviet military equipment.
There are fragmentary reports of the sending of Soviet technical material
to Albania.
It is known that this material is arriving continuously, but there are no
details concerning it.
During the past months of Fab and Marsh there arrived in Albania, serose
Tugoslavia, various heavy material. There were observed some military convoys,
each composed of about 30 motor vehicles transporting material contained in
large boxes, the sontents of which one has not yet been able to asesrtain.
The greater part of the above materiel was ssn to O'ibasan, following the
routes tbstivar - Debar - 11basan.
Two or three oonvoys, however, moved along the following routes Oostlivar -
Debar - Strugs - toritsa, also carrying large boxes containing heavy satterials.
It was also reported on this occasion that the oonvcqs were transporting
machines for the now cam uniti on factory, now under construction in the
neighborhood of the aforementioned city.

Subjects Albania - 5th Rifle Division - Argirocastro
The headquarters of the Division Am are set up in a palatial residence
of the city of ArgtrocAstro.
The ooamander is a major general whose name is not known. At these
headquarters there are always observed now soviet officers, the highest s,dc
rank of which is a colonel.
In the barracks located on the outskirts of the city there are to gad the
units of the A)jvision, namely:
a battalion of automatic weapons,
a company of engineers,,
a mountain battery,
a battery of heavy mortars,
an antia'roraft battery,
a platoon of transports,
a medical platoon,
an antigas platoon,
a platoon for logistic ser^4oss.
In addition, the following is also lodged in the barraoks
311th Rifle Regiment. Commander: Major Mamas Ooso. Political Cowdssarj
Major Msbset Taresi.
The Regiment is Bade up of 3 rifle bait=ilions, in addition to regimental
units. The 3 battalions are stationed near the regimental headquarters, except
in the summer months, during which they are transferred to the military proving
grounds, located in a mountainous some about 25 ka from the city.
The other units of the Division are stationed as follows,
Rifle regiment: with headquarters at Perasti.

- one battalion with the headquarters units at Permeti;
- one battalion at Leskovicu;
- one battalion at Policami.
A rifle regiment: with headquarters at Delvino. Comeander: an albnian *ajor.
The aforementioned s regiment has its regimental units stationed in the
following places:
- one battalion and the headquarters units at Delvino;
- one ; battalion at Konispoli;
- one :g battalion at Santi Quaranta.
51st Artillery regiment: with headquarters at Argirocastro. Coi user: LtCo]

In addition to headquarters units, the regiment consists of 3 groups of
artillery, one of *Ach is a mountain group equipped with suasian pt pieces
of 76 mw. The latter is stationed near the rifle battalion at Delvino. The
other 2 groups, one a field artillery group and the other a 105 ma howitzer
group, are atat ined near the regimental comeutnd at Argirocastro.
Notes All the units of the division at are of r,ther reduced strength, so
that the regiments do not exceed 800 man.

Description.
West of the road BAYWTB .. TBPIMME at about 20 meters distance is the (A) main way to
the depot. South-west of this (A) main entrance at about 30 meters distance there is
building # 1, with dimensions 3X3X3 m, built of stones and coverd with tiles and
where the sentrys of the depot are sheltered,
At 4 meters distance north of building # 1, there is building # 2 with 413X3 a.. built
of stones , covered with tiles and used as office place of the depot,
Between buildings # 1 and 2 is entrance or gate (B) of the depot.
West of building # 2 partly adjacent to it is building # 3
built of stones, covered with tiles and used as warehopse for fuel barrels.
South of building # 3 also partly adjacent and similar to it there is another one
used for the same purpose. This is building # 4 east of which is a similar building
