The J1tEGER Kaserne (BS 3341), as at 8 Sep 58, was occupied by artillery troops. The main entrance to the barracks is from the BERG Strasse. Only il1i11UU.LU Ute.LY vutislae tine oarracx area, is a small building, un;uarded, but -;;ith a notice forbidding entry. The building is approximately 30 metres long and 15 metres wide. The windows have been bricked in. The entrance door is only 2.5 metres wide and 3 metres him. The buildin? looks as if it may be used as an implement shed. To the west of the Jaeger Kaserne and west of the goods railway station, there is an exercise ground :rith several wooden sheds and t,io new wooden sheds under construction. On 8 Sep 58 no Russian troops or equipment were using the exercise ground ;hich is small and only approximately 1 km. in len;;th. 4. INFANTERIE KASERNE CBS 334j The barracks -?ere v tc ated by Russian troops in May 58 and since that date not used as accommodation for Russian or E.G.A. troops. On 8 Sep 58 in large white letters above the entrance to the barracks the words "G+'TREIDE AUFFASSUNG" proclaimed that the barracks is used for grain storage. 5. Very little military activity was evident on 8 Sep 58 of either a Russian or E.G.A. nature in the town of LUEBBEN. 6. 7. The DISSENCHEN Kaserne (BS 3081) is, as at 9 Sep 58, occupied by Russian artillery. The barracks did not appear to be fully occupied. Opposite to the entrance, within the barrack area, there is a large, two-storied block with two wings. The front has two rows of twenty windows and attic windows above. The ?.ings have two rows of six windows. A similar sized block is located along the east side of the barrack area. It is also two-storied and tio-,:-inged. The second floor has continuous glass frontage. There are four wooden gara,e or storage sheds behind the barrack blocks. Only a few soft-skinned vehicles entered the barrack area on 9 Sop 58.
