Hungary's Trade Mission Activities
in East Berlin
in 1952 to 27 November 1956)
no o~'~?i~.s or uno cis a son existed between C.N.I.E.C and
the Hungarian Trade Mission with the exception of negotiations
which took place in April 1956. In the trade agreement concluded
with the DDR for 1956, Hungary had been granted 2,200 tone of
synthetic rubber from the Buna Wo~~ks (Chemische Werke Buna,
Schkopau}. This amount did not fill the requirements, and the
Trade Mission was instructed to purchase 2,000 additional tons
of buns. The application was re,~ected and the Trade Mission was
told that 1,000 tons possibly could be bought from. China where it
was delivered in 1955 and stored since the Chinese were not yet in
a position to process the material. A few meetings were then
arranged at the Chinese Trade Mission in Berlin_ H(~WRVPra PPlcina
