information:
1. Location of an ammunition dump on the north side of the Bad Freienwalde-
Werneuchen road.
2. Barracks across the road from the ammunition dump and housing a Soviet
military unit0
3. Storage installation for tools and materials, located about 150 meters
north of the ammuni.tion dump.

Ammunition Store.
i) Location: About 500 ni. SOUTHTST of BAD IFPBI] i~1AL)B
on the NORTH side of the 7 AD + 'ITT rALDE - WJJBEUCI T1 road.
(see Appendix Fig. I.) The store is about 30 i. from the
road and its frontage extends for about 100 m. The dimensions
in other directions could not be ascertained owning to the
presence of trees and bushes.
The store is surrounded by a palisade about 1Q5 high.
There is a gateway about 5 m. Wide in the middle of the part of
the palisade facing the road.
ii) At each end of the palisade there is a watch tower about
3 m. high, with Soviet soldiers on guard. See Appendix, Fig. II.
Inside the enclosure about 5 m. from the palisade there
are two wooden towers, each about 3 in. high, and about 50 in.
apart, on which searchlights are mounted. Along the whole
length of the palisade there are notice boards with "No Smoking"
written in Russian.
iii) Inside the enclosure there are concrete buildings: length
about 20 m, vridth 5 in. height 1 to 1.5 m. The roofs are
gabled. The buildings are in rows and are 20-30 M. apart.
No doors were visible. At the far end (from the road) of
each building there is a steel mast, about 3 m. high and 10 cm.
in diameter. About 40 such masts were observed, What appeared
to be a fire extinguisher was seen, fixed to a post, near each
building.
All the a/m buildings inside the enclosure were observed
through the gateway.
iv) On the side of the road, near the gateway, there were
about 50 dark green aoluuxed boxes, 20 cm x 50 cm x 80 cm, in
dimension.
v) The Soviet troops, who were seen near this area were aged
about 20. and wore mauve S.B.fs with an emblem consisting of a
semi-circular wreath enclosing a star.
.'II- Barracks.
In the former German Army 3rd Motor Cycle Bn. barracks,
which are on the other side of the road and opposite the
ammunition store, there is a Soviet Military unit,
The barracks area is surrounded by a wire mesh fence about
1.2 m. high. Behind the fence were 35 armoured vehicles with

III. Tool and Material Store.
About 150 m. NORTH of the Ari1T:1uL1I icon Store there
area of about 50 m. x 50 m., enclosed by a palisade, about
1.5 M. high.
Soviet troops, with the same S.B. Is and emblems as those
at the ammunition store were observed carrying planks, saws
and axes from this store to the ammunition store.
IV. Radar Installation
About 5C in, south of the barracks (see Appendix, Fig. I>)
there is a steel mast, about 10 m. high and 5 csn, diameter
(see Appendix Fig. III situated on some ground about 10 m.

No aerial nor connecting cable was observed. About 20 m?
to the EAST of this there is a wooden hut, about 4 m, x 2 m.
with 2 windows on each side. About 5 m. from this hut there
is a military vehicle with a parabolic reflector radar
installation, diameter about 2.5 m. (see Appendix, Fig. IV.)
Owing to the conformity of the ground, only the upper part of
this vehicle was visible.
No troops were seen in the vicinity of this installation,
