Pirot (Pirotski Kilim; Pirot Carpet) and Kotel (Kotlenski kilim) types.
Most of the Pirots are made in Chiprovtsi (N L3-23, E 22-53), and most of
the Kotels are made at Kotel (N 42-53, E 26-27) and Sofia. The Kotels are
heavier and are made with more expensive textiles. Prices in Bulgaria are
as follows t

a. Pirots, 206 leva per square meter; and
b. Kotels, 400 leva per square meter.
The Pirot and Kotel ris are sold only inside Bulgaria. Large quantities of
the Persian rugs, however, are sent to the USSR. Prices for export are 50
percent less than for domestic markets.
