1. The 28 Artillery Division Headquarters, is located in the former corps building.
One of the regiments of this division is likewise stationed in Miskolc and
another regiment is in Eger.
2. The former "Rudolf" barracks on Zsolcai Kapu Street is occupied by a motorized
infantry regimental. staff of the 4 Rifle Division of Nyiregdyh&zaa The regimental
units stationed here are as follows:
a. Two motorized rifle battalions.
bo One 1207 mmaheavy anti-aircraft machinegun company.
c. One antitank company, equipped with six 57 mm. guns.
d. One heavy mortar company equipped with six 120 mm. mortars,
ea One signal company.
The total strength of these 'units is about 1,300 men,
3. The Artillery Barracks is located north of the main railroad station, on the
street leading to the station. It is occupied by an artillery regiment of the
artillery division of Miskolc. This regiment is composed of three groups armed as
follows: the first group has twelve 762 mm. guns; and the second and the third
have twelve 122 mm. guns each,
4a "Szepesill Infantry Barracks is located on SzAchenyi Street (now known &s Somo i
Bela Street). It is occupied by a motorized infantry battalion (about:09'men).
This is a component of the motorized infantry regiment located in the Rudolf Barracks.

"Csendbr" Barracks is located on Tizeshonved Street. It houses the AVH
District headquarters and a school for "police detachment commanders" attended
by about 400 men.
6. "Legvbdelmi Tt#z8r (Antiaircraft Artillery) Barracks, located on Szentpbteri
Kapu Street, consists of an old and a new section.
a. The old section houses an antiaircraft training group composed as follows:
1) Two batteries with four 85 mom. guns each.
2) One battery with six 12.7 mm. heavy machineguns.
3) One battery with six 37 mm. automatic-guns.
The personnel housed in this section total about 600 men.
b. The new section houses a motorized howitzer group of the 4 Rifle Division
of Nyiregyh&za. It is composed as follows :
1) Two batteries with four 122 mm, guns each.
2) Two batteries with four 152, mm;, guns ,each.
The total strength 9f this group is about 450 men.
7. Former "Lovassagi1' Barracks, now called "Tancsics Mihaly" Barracks is occupied
by units of an armored regiment of the 18 Armored Division with the regimental
headquarters at Rets&g or Cy8ngy8s. The barracks are also occupied by the
following units.-
a. One reconnaissance tank company with 10 tanks.
b. One armored company with ten T34/85 tanks,
c. One battery with four 122 mm. howitzers,
d. One transportation unit with 24 trucks of various types.
Total number of personnel housed here: about 750.
8. Former "Ilona" Barracks is adjacent to the "Tancsis Mihaly" Barracks. It is
occupied by a border guard battalion of about 450 men.
9. The so-called Food Warehouserin addition to food and clothing/ also contains a
transportation unit with about 20 trucks of various types.

10. a,; A small Soviet command is housed in the Hotel Korona, In the city districts
of Dedk, Kaziticzy, Szech6ny, and Avas, the Soviets have requisitioned private homes
to billet the families of high-ranking Soviet officers stationed at Lillaflired.
b. The new Ujdiosgy6r barracks, located north of the road leading to Lillaffired, now
house a Soviet armored battalion with about thirty T34/85 tanks and fifteen
122 mm. JS tanks. Total strength is about 700 men.

1. Vadasz Laktanya (.Scout barracks) is located on "Gy8rszabadhegyi" Street, It
is occupied by a Soviet motorized infantry battalion (about 500 men) who have
red and bl k service colors, On the barracks drill field about-303trucks
wee seen.
and tanks., About 40 tanks (T34/851s) and about'25 trucks are located there.
2, Gy8rszabadhegyi Artillery Barracks is located on the southeast side of the city,
of Gy8r. It is occupied by a Soviet tank battalion whose strength is about
600 men, In the southern corner of the courtyard is the parking lot for trucks
3. Tank Barracks is occupied by a Soviet selfpropelled unit whose strength is about
300 men; about 250 men of this unit are housed in the pioneer camp indicated on
the sketch wig: the number . The vehicles going from the barracks to the pioneer
camp and vice vers 25X1

5. "zrinyi" Barracks (former 'TFrigyes) is occupied,by a Hungarian pioneer battalion
and a Hungarian infantry battalion khose total strength is about 700 men.F
6. On the Island of Gy6r (Gy8rsziget) in the boathouse, is a company belonging to the
pioneer battalion located in the Zrinyi Barracks; Its strength is about 100 men.
7, Teleki Utcai.Barracks is occupied by a district command of the AVH 25X1
The total strength of the AVH unit located there, including the training battalion)
amounts to about 750 mere.

8. The terra on ApAca Street is occupied by a Hungarian motorized 4 antry
battalion - belonging to the Infantry regiment of Jutas-Veszpr4m, 25X1
which in-turn is subordinate to-the 9 Infantry Division. This battalion has a
totaX strength of about 500 men. The main building..:also contains the offices of
the Hungarian city command.
9. Gy8r Airfield is located north of the Gydr-Komtrom.railroad line, between the
Hesse woods and themcity. This aif'field is being used by the "Maszovlet" company
and serves also as practice field of.O*.E. Except for the Hungarian and Soviet
service personnel there are no military units on the field.*

Legend to the attached sketch of Rakosnalota Airfield
1. Two-story buildings used as living quarters. Each of the three buildings
can house about 200 men.

Each of the..two.hoiises:. will be about =100 x 25 m. -and will house ab=4 8OO men.
3. Concrete runway about 2,000 m. long and 80 - 100 m. wide. The entire
surface of the runway is covered (for preservation!, and camouflage purposes)
with a 10-15 cm. layer of dirt. This can be swept away in one half hour by
means of a machine which resembles a snowplow.
4. In the forest, about 100 m. from the road, there are two, fuel tanks, each
with a capacity of about 100 tone. These tanks protrude only about 2 meters
above the ground level.
5. Ammunition dump consisting of six bunker-like structures, each 15 x 8 m.and
three-fourths underground
