Sclm1iedeberg near Dresden -
1, The 1"Arado 961, works at Schmiedeberg near Dreadeng which is allied to the "Arado 9610
works at Pirnas manufacture gliders, (50 gliders are at present being built.)
2. The production of engined aircraft at these works is also under ways and the
Schmiedeberg and the Pia "Arado 9611 works have Joinvly undertaken to supply
the first 15 "Arado 96" aircraft (equipped with Czechoslovak Walter. power, units)
to Sport -tend Technik in April 195, Czechoslovakia is to supply Sport and Teehnik
with "BU' 18111 units (nimtber not specified) in the spring of 1953.
3. it is, however, the intention in the future to use German engines built at the

ohannistal (VVB IFA),
VEB Motorenwerk Berlin'
The manager of aircraft construction at the "Arad.o 96" Schmiedeberg works is
Herberg Guckel (BED).
