Wednesday - 13 September 1967
1. Received a call from Mr. Scott Cohen,
Assistant to Senator Charles H. Percy (R. , Ill. ), requesting assistance
on gaining any additional information which might be available concerning
a reported interview of Nguyen Van Tien of the National Liberation Front.
After checking, I advised Mr. Cohen that this had been a personal interview
and that nothing additional over what was reported in yesterday morning's
POST has been received.
3. Met with Mr. John Sullivan, Administrative
Assistant to Senator Daniel B. Brewster (D., Md. ),
He also noted that the Senator would like a briefing on Vietnam
and hoped that the invitation to come out to breakfast was still open. I
assured him that it is. He will call me after discussing this latter matter
further with the Senator.
