1. All factories producing electric goods are being moved outside Bucharest.
2, During June and July 1950 Soviet troops laid underground telephone lines
in nearly all the main streets of Bucharest,, and along main roads leading
to the environs of Bucharest. In early September work on the lines was
continuing.
3m Reportedly, Rumanian ministries* may move to Iasi, and Rumanian Army Head-
quarters may be transferred to Brasovv, which will allegedly become a large
military center(
4. In August 1950 there were five or six anti-aircraft bat'.eries outside
Bucharest in the Catelu area.
