COUNTRY
1. Between 11 and 20 September 1950 the Artillerie Kaserne on Augusta-Bobel-
Strasse, Frankfurt/Oder (0 53/V 63), was occupied by a rear detail. of
about 20 men who wore red-bordered black epaulets.

2. The Buelow Kaserne on Fuerstenwalder Poststrasse was occupied by a rear
detail of not more than 20 men .earin red-bordered black epaulet-,j.
3. The northeastern section of the Eichhorn Kaserne on uellroser Landstrasse
was vacant with the exception of a Koch furniture stored The southwestern
section of the installation quartered about 600 troops bwho wore black-
bordered crimson epaulets. Groups. of up.to 80 soldiers were seen at spa s
and drill.
It. The 'Iindenburg I(aserne on August-Bebel-strasse, formerly alindenburgatrasse,
was occupied by a rear detail of not more than 15 non vah o wore red-bordered
black epaulets.
5. Besides a Kech furniture store, only a detail of not more than 20 soldiers
was located in the tlofbauer Kaserne bordering on Birnbalu uehlen: trasse and
Schubertstrasse. Three rail--type rocket launchers were seen in the ;;ara es

6. The Horn Kaserne on Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse quartered only a rear unit of
25X1 C about 40 men. About 30 soldiers were seen digging trenches. in . the
billeting area. roceeded
along August-Bebel-Strasse and moved.into the Horn Kaserne on the evening
of 14 September 1950,

74 The Ziethen Kaserne on Kopernikusstrasse housed only a rear
detail of soldiers wearing red-bordered black ep ilets with tank
and artillery insignia. Three tanks were seen in the -arwpes
on 16 and 19 t,optembor 1950. Althou ;h these tanks had not been
seen there for a lon;; time, it was not observed that the unit to
