Soviet troops held fiold exercises in the area south of oalzwodel
(=: 53/1 27) at the end of :suz~ust and the be;;innin; of iAaoterabor
1950. The units that participated arrived fror:i the direction of
Gardelegen (!"; 53/Y )4k) and ::tondal (l.; 53/Y 85) and, upon completion
of the exercises,, left in the same direction, lo soviet unite were
seen in the area between 10 and 12 3eptenbor 1950,.
