The popular festival hold on 1 September 1950 by the Chilean Commnai_sst.$front
organization.. Grupo do Arte y Ci ncia - Continente,* was considered a
failure by the Communist Party C.' Chile (PCCh). Raydee Alarcon Lozano, one
of the organizers of the festive!., is considered responsible for its failure
