On 16 July 1950 five canvas-covered AA guns wore emplaced in the area east of the barracks installation bounded by Czar Asen II, Kasarii n.a and 2arigrdsko Schose street in. Sofia. Tile oimplacenent had been con- structed by about 50 13ulgarian soldiers on the afternoon of 15 July 1950. The soldiers leveled the debris in the area. Travelers said that, or 16 July 1950, they observed numerous AA gun emplacements along the line from Kurilo (B i/L 37) to the outskirts of Sofia. 2. Residents of the villages of Gyschevo (Y 49/D 62) and Glavanovci 25X1X F were evacuated in June and July 1950, 6o Soviet motorized troops moved through I3otevgrad Orchanie, B 1/T, 78,, and proceeded toward Saranzi (33 1/L 76) in the first half of July 1950, according to a local resident of 2-Rotevgrad. The movements were observed only at night. During the clay the :soviet troops bivouacked in woods,, A convoy of about 100 trucks carrying Soviet troops was observed on the night of 6 July 1950.
