During the wars when these petroleum wells were being exploited by the ATP
enterprise si.c _ ?AIPA "Azienda Italiana di Petrolio in Albania") various
hosts and soundings were carried out to establish wtietf,er it would be worth-
while to utilize these sands. For this purpose a large gallery was dug up,,
and testings established that there was approximately one hundred million
cubic meters of this petroleum-bearing sand,, and that it will produce
10 percent petroleum ac td benao1 A large building,, to handle these tests.

been done during a period of close cooperation between Yugoslavia and
Albania, and samples were sent to Rijeka,, where tests produced positive
