PLACE ACQUIRE 25X1A DATE OF INFO. *SOURCE (LISTED BELOW) 1o Reports concerning the arrival of Soviet armored units in Bulgaria from Rumania are aranating from Rumania, but no Soviet troops are seen in Bulgaria. 2. fdmrever, recently, reports have been received that tanks and other equipment for armored units are being landed at Stalin (formerly Varna) and the harbors of the Danube. There are reports also that similar materiel is being shipped an trains which came from, the directioat of Dobrioh (Tolbukhin). 3. The tanks which are being brought to Bulgaria are a new type of the T$4/85. This tank may be one of those types manufactured in the Soviet Union six months ago. Some specifications concerning the new type of tank are: Type - Bedi rkagov (?) weapons ?- One gun of 92 centimeters Speed o 80 kilometers per hour on the road, 40 kilometers per hour an the field Engines - Two 12?oylinder engines of 150 horsepower Turret - Far forward Armor ??
