1. During the past few nonths, two issues of a niraoographed, clandostino, Com-
munist newspaper called E7, 2osit2r have appeared in Santiago. This news-
paper, which is not an official Com moist Party publication, is published
by a group of Con nnist university students and contains jokes, insults, and
poems against the present government and especially against such so-called
"brain trusters" as Dario Poblote Nunez, Osvaldo "agave Olivares, Luis Brun
d ' Avon lio, and Luis iernandez Parker., Hernandez Parker, the former recretary
General of the Chilean Corlraunist Youth,, tray long ago expelled from the Com-
munist Party and is now a radio and newspaper political eoraantator.
2. Both issues of El Opesi or uoro of approximately 300 copies and were :riled
to congressmen and other raertbers of the govornent. NO issues have appeared
lately as the university students are on summer vacation.
3. The second issue of El Opositor claimed that the government had organized the
7 November 1949 shooting affray in the Plaza do .rrlla9 of Santiago, which is
eorirsonly considered to have been Cori unist-led,
