l.' 7ost of the departments of the GAI, including the VP (Administrative
Police), no longer have a Polit-Kultur (PK) director as deputy
to the department head. There is now in most departments no
special deputy assigned to the director, the chief of Referat,tibf
the department assuming the deputy's duties. *
2. The Schulung (Training department of the GAIT has been dissolved.
There is now only a Schulungsreferent (training specialist)
with the individual departments.
3. The former head of the Schulung department, Max Zaspel has been
appointed chief of the Border Police department. The order
Police units have now been attached to the Landespolizeibehttirde
(state police), like the Kriminalpolizei, Schutzpolizei and the
VP.
4. It is anticipated that the Adm.r_istrative Police department will
shortly move into the building housing the Bureau of Missing
Persons on Kanonierstr., Berlin- itte, to be joined by other
departments, e.g., fire brigade and part of the Intendantur
(Supply). Concomitantly, the Kriminalpolizei is expected to
move to Seckendorffstr., leaving in Wilhelmsruh only the head-
quarters of the Bereitschaften.
