1. The Communist Party of Spain (CPS) in Argentina has ordered its leaders in
the interior of the country to organize Conisionea de 1yuda a In Denocracia
Espanola (Committees for Aid to the `'vanish Democracy), the rain purpose of
which will be the collection of funds for the CPS. Although the committees
are to be directed by CPS menbers or trusted sympathizers, their activities
are to include all Spanish Republicans and other elements which are opposed
to the Franco regime.
2. A CPS leader from Buenos Aires (believed to be either Jose de is Fuente or
Luis de la Fuente) recently travelled to Tanta Fe to aid in the establish-
ment of an aid committee in that area. Its current headquarters are located
at C-11e San Jeronimo 2066, which is also the address of the Centro fepubli-
cryno tlispano : ericano. Manuel Delicado has also been travel-
ing in the interior of Argentina for the purpose of issuing instructions to
local leaders for the formation of ouch committees.
