1. The trouble which broke out or, 13 September 1948 betwee.: the Gerakan Revoloesi
Rakjat and the Parta::'L Komuni? Indonesia (PT'I) be -are ?,.rlvv in September when

with leaders of the Pesindo and the PKI but was not satisfied. The secret
meetings were ,morn to the Kommando Keamanan Kota (KKK) (a Republican security
unit), which told the resident commissioner of Soerakarta and later the
central security police at Jogjakarta.
2. On 13 September 1948? the headquarters of the Pesindo was raided while a
secret meeting w,s 1xiing held, A number of newly elected PKI councillors
and seven Tenteera Nasiona] Indonesia senior officers were arrested. These
arrests occurred after six hcurs of continuous fighting. Indonesian newspapers
stated at first that there were six killed but later revised this figure to
fourteen.
