1. I am approving the continuation of the Electro-Optics Steering Group
and the Electro-Optical Research and Development Coordinating Group under the
direction of the IR&DC. I believe this continuation will benefit both the
Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense in providing a forum for
the continued study of Electro-Optical Research and Development Technology.
2. In.approving this continuation I ask that the EOCG:
a. expand the. Coordinating Group area of E-0 investigations to
include National as well as Tactical Reconnaissance activities; and
b. provide periodic reports of EOCG activities to the Council for
consideration. (S)
3. Attached please find a list of tasks that the Council would like the
Coordinating Group to undertake during the coming year. (U)
