JULY - SEPTEMBER 1982
1. Activity During This Period:
Following ground breaking ceremonies on 9 July 1982 construction efforts have been concentrated in first
relocation of undp~ utilities and secondly in installation of cast nili g. Concurrently, STAT
design or the third floor was being developed funding for the upper
three floors was reviewed by Congressional committees.
2. Problems and Shortfalls:
Unforeseen subsurface conditions caused additional work and delays in utilities relocations and in piling
installation so that as of 15 October construction is about 3 weeks behind the CPM schedule. Schedule
adjustments will be worked with GSA and general contractor to diminish negative impact.
3. Plans for Next Period:
The award of options 1 and 2 to provide finishes on the lower 3 floors and Provide floors 4,5 and 6 is
anticipated prior to 30 November 1982. Completion of the third floor is expected by STAT
1 November 1982 to be followed by negotiation with general contractor for award of the STAT
