THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
to A Russian rocket-propulsion unit, consisting of 3 trucks and a passenger car,,
demonstrated a new (sic) projectile to Hungarian troops between 3 and 18 October
1951. The demonstrations took place at Hajduha iz (I 52), Balkrny (: 63),
and Hajmdsker (P 79)-
2. The length of the projectile is about 3.5 M. There are two wings attached
to the upper third. of the rocket; they are 80 cm. wide and 1.30 m. long.
Fin stabilizers are located on the opposite end of the projectile.
3. The projectile is launched from an adjustable platform 6 m. long. lh wings
are attached. at the site of launching -- that is,. after the shell is placed on
the shooting platform by means of a crane. This procedure is followed by pouring
propulsion fluid into the shell from two containers.
The range is 8/21 (sic) km. Because of its high fragmentation, just above the
ground, the projectile is considered to be an anti-personnel. weapon. The
explosion can be controlled by an adjustable ignitor.
One truck transported three shells; the second truck transported the wings
for the shells and the launching platform; the third truck taking part in
the demonstrations was, presumably, a personnel carrier.
