1,. Because of material shortages the production of grids at the HF Works declined
trovl~ 49,700 in l~rah 1954 to about 25,000 in April, sa far it ,is Mot possible
to procure material. _
2. The I~-tube division is not affected by the material shortage. It has a large
stock_on ieand grid receives deliveries from the ABa (Allgemeine B~ektrizitatsgesellschaftj
in hest flerssr-y. These tubes go almost entirely to.the soviet Union and the material,
xhiieh also is produced or supplied by the Soviet IInion, is used only for these
orders. Production for the >tonth of April xas around 2,500 finished tubes.
3. Production of IICH 181 end IICB~81 tubes in April amounted to 1,$10 altogether; about
70 percent xere of the first quality.
4. Tubes oP the lmerlcan "Siz" aeries no longer figure so prominently in production..
About 2,500 of these tubes xere manufactured in April 1954.
