1. The Sovrometal factory at Resita delivered to the Rumanian Army in January
1954s as the remainder of its quota for 1953, 1,785 infantry'accompanying
guns with split trails'and rubber tires, At the some time 20'452 reserve
barrels were delivered. The January delivery was 394 pieces.
2. The 1954 quota has been set at three thousand 125 mm howitzers with 4,000
reserve barrels.
3. The factory has an order for 2,000 Roics type flame-throwers,
five hundred ousand 6o mm mortar shells, two hundred thousand 125 mm
mortar shells, and three million mortar shell fuses of various types.
4. Armaments production in Rumania is much hampered by a shortage of nickel.
Only 2.5 tons arrived from USSR during the last quarter of 1953; the need
of awrometal for the same period was about 50 tons.
