The village of Taloea is on a lagoon of the lower Danube. The town or Isaseea is 33 ' hmh north-northwest, oomeeted with 'lrlcea by an indj.ffererht read. The section of the road between the western edge of the city and where it crosses the Tulcea-Oatalei railroad is to be built up into a first, class highway. Near, this crossing, south of the road, there is an infantry barracks, occupying an area of 550 a to 600 a. At the barracks there is also a reserve refresher training battalion It is commanded by Capt. Contesou, about 35 years old. The battalion staff is 12 to 14 mat. The comps also has about 1Q5 to 110 Soviet rifles. A platoon has 20 to 23 men, without counting instructors or cadres, who are furnished from the active battalions. 4. Eighty percent of the reservists are from Siebenbargen, the remainder from the Regat; all are of Rumanian nationality. Down throw 1952 reservist training lasted three months,,but in 1953 this was shortened to two months. All the men of the regiment wear red insignia. 6. Basic training in the active formations is rapid. Two weeks are spent in learning the new weapons, whereupon exercises and fire training were immediately began . Great attention is given to accuracy of fire.
