Thes vessels are 3,000 ton freighters being built for China. Chinese ship uilding personnel have already arrived in the yard to supervise the onstruction of these vessels. Salvage Vessel (Hebeschiff) 11 ,~ 20. This vessel is to sail for Leningrad She was to sail but has had engine trouble. Thisvessel is to sail for Leningrad) ~ She has already made two local runs but has had trouble with the superheaters which have too low a temperature. She has reached a speed of 26 knots per hour instead of the estimated 32. The skin plating which is 6 mm. thic -is too thin and there have been many leaks. Miscellaneous Items ~- 24. Negotiations are in progress to build additional Brandwachen for the Soviet Navy; 25. Two ast German mine sweepers arrived in the yard reps rs. ,, ., 26. Two oviet Navy ~~ ear arrived in Warnemuende and ill probably be transferred to the East German Navy. 27. Poli$h ports will no longer be used by the Soviet navy for the final fitt~.ng out of warships as a result of the recent disturbances in Poland. Final fitting .out will be done exclusively in Soviet ports.
