APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. An underground fuel store is located in the forest west of Hnevice 25X1 (N50..27, .E14.-?2). The store was originally built by the Germans during the Second World War. In 1950 a military labor unit and-'about 400 civilian workers started work on reconstruction and enlargement of the store. The area that .is; surrounded by a fence is about 2,300 meters long in the north-south direction; the width is unknown A 25X1 three-line spur was constructed between the Hnevice railroad station and the fuel store; the spur. tracks are filled with railroad tank cars. In April 19.56 there were still about 200 civilian workers employed on the construction; some of the workers may have been employed as storage personnel. There were also about 100 soldiers ran duty in the area of the store; these were quartered inside the area. The entrances are guarded by uniformed plant guards (Zavodni straz). The weekly import of fuel into the store was between 50 and 200 railroad tank.cars in 1955, A sketch showing the location of the fuel store is available The legend for the sketch is as follows: Point 1.
