1. Attached are:
b. A sketch map, the top half of which shows the relative location of the25X1
factory and the bottom half of which outlines the buildings of the works;
and
2. The factory consists of about 10 low, solidly built structures, a tall building
with a smokestack and three two-story homes (dwellings for employees). Except
for the smokestack, the buildings are not visible from the adjacent road as they
are built on the side of a hill which descends to a "Valli" draw?). An
enclosure of two parallel rows of barbed wire surrounds the entire area of
the establishment.
3. The factory produces mines and other explosives for the:.,.Bulgarian Army. About
150 workers are employed, 30 or 40 of whom live on the premises. The remainder
come to work daily in three busses.. A Major Xfun1no*) is director general
of the plant. The installation is guarded by soldiers with black shoulder
straps. Also on the premises is a foundry employing 18 men.
