The construction of.a-new loading ramp at the Nove Dvory railroad station
near Stribro was started in the summer of 1952. At the same time a new
connecting road to the station was being built.
2. The reason for the construction of the new ramp is that the freight yard in
Stribro is fully engaged with loading of lumber,and is unable to cope with
military material and troops for the Stribro garrison. In April 1953 the
new ramp, along which an entire train can be unloaded simultaneously, was
already being used by the Army.
3., The Nove Dvory station is. located on the Pilsen-Cheb main line, about 12 km.
east of Stribro. The new connecting road leads from the railroad station
in a westerly direction along the track, to the Konstantinovy Lazne line
junction, where it crosses the railroad track at grade level. It is said
that an overpass will shortly be built. As of August 1953 the road had not
yet been used. Prom the other side of the ramp another road is being built,
running in an easterly direction to 'oin the Novo Dvory-Pernarec road.
4. The ramp lies opposite the station building, on the'north side of the tracks.
It is of concrete construction and is 200 meters long by 30-meters wide. The
old ramp, east of the station building, is still being used' for ordinary
traffic.
