Each year the Order presents a Freedom Award to prominent individu- als for their fight against Communism. American enlisted men who served in France or French Possessions during World War I or World War 11 but who were commissioned later are eligible. Also, American non-commissioned officers of the French Foreign Legion. All recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor or the French Medaille Militaire who served in France or French Possessions during World War I or World War II shall be admitted as members without dues. All sons and daughters of regular members are eligible for full membership on reaching the age of twenty-one years. A uxiliary Members Auxiliary members shall be composed of any persons over twenty-one years of age who agree with the principles, program and preamble of The Order of Lafayette.
