The Smithsonian Archives hereby transfers to the Central Intelligence Agency
one 5"x8"x12" card file. box containing private and commercial activity
information gathered on persons located in Latin America during 1941-1942.
These records were not created by the Smithsonian Institution, and are not
the type of records acessioned by the Smithsonian Archives for permanent
retention.
I would appreciate an acknowledgement on the receipt of the transfer. Also,
since it is known that the Smithsonian Archives had possession of the records,
please provide me with, procedures for gaining accessibility to the records,
in case a research request ts--made to the Archives.
