1. The Parchixn (M 54/T 7h0 airfield was observed between 1:45 and 3:145 p.m.
on 5 August 1950. It was occupied by three single-engine, low wing
monoplanes with radial engines and pale grayish brotini paint; two tin-
engine,, mid vwring monoplanes'-with radial engines and dark-gray paint;
four aluminum-color jot planes vri.th swept-back wings;-and five lots
Bring monoplanes painted grayish-brown.

~Commant. The occupation of the airfield has apparently not
c" since late P;".ay 1954. The aircraft which were
observed are not the total occupation othe field. The four jet
planes probably are the alerted tactical formation at the field. All
the other jet planes, estimated to be about 35, probably wore in the
hangars. Most of the jet planes were standing in the open in "?ay 1950,
but recently they have been kept in the hangars. One fighter regiment
is believed to be stationed at the field. This was confirmed
August 1950. The twin-engine planes are probably
A-20s. Since this aircraft type has been observed only
with the a r reconnaissance regiment previously stationed in Koethen,
it is possible that the tw i.n--engine planes of the air reconnaissance
regiment have been transferred to Parchim. Another section of the air
reconnaissance regiment is stationed in Stendal.
