"a. The provisions of this regulation regarding Career Preference
Outlines do not apply to personnel while in the overseas field,
and Form No. 1030 will not be sent to the overseas field.,,
to paragraph 3a of POLICY, the following material which is underlined
na. Career Preference Outlines will be prepared for any staff
mv1aee or staff agent, exceDt those in the overseas field, if,
in the opinion of the individual and/or eiv sor, with
the concurrence of the Head of his Career Service, such docu=
metation for the individual is required or desirable. Heads
of Career Services will require outlines for such persona in
their service as considered necessary. Career PrreLsrsace Out-

2. The Deputy Director (Intelligence) has requested the Council
to consider whether the prohibition of sending the Career Preference
Outline overseas should be waived in the case of certain components or
whether the regulation should be republished in its original form in
order to remove the overall prohibition.
